How to Do a Good Warm-Up before a Hockey Game.

You’re excited about to playing a hockey game. Before playing, you must have a good warm-up to have a less chance to get an injury. The body is like a car in winter at -30 degrees cs, if it not pluged in many times before maybe it won’t start, or if it starts it is hard on it. The car will be stiff so it is the same thing for your muscles. It easy to do a good warm-up if you follow these four steps.

First of all, you should do some exercises before you put on your equipment. Do some light jogging. With this you will get your heart rate up. Also, you might do some movement like you do will during your sport. This part is about ten minutes.

Next, you could put on your equipment and go on the ice. Do about five minutes of easy skating sometimes you should skate backward. This is good for your legs and increases your heart rate. Be carefule, if you skate too fast at the beginning, you can stretch a ligament.

Third, you must stretch your body. You can use your hockey stick to do shoulder rolls. Move on to stretches for your back, arms and legs. However, move slowly to avoid some hyper extending.

Finally, you should do some skating again, but now more quickly for heart rate up because it was going down. Furthermore, now you can practice your shot and in the same time you practice the goaltender while working all of your muscles.

In conclusion, don’t forget to stretch your muscles before a game. As a result, of carefule stretching, you will be ready to play and you will have less chances getting injured in the game. Have fun!
