The Rocket


Montreal, March 4, 1921, is born a future legend MAURICE RICHARD. He won 8 Stanley Cups, 8 selection on first team of Stars, 6 selections on second team of stars and 1 Hart trophy (Most Valuable Player). In 18 years of experience with Montreal Canadiens, he scored 626 goals, 465 pass and 1473 minutes of penalty. In addition, he’s the first player scored 50 goals in 50 games. Even if, he was not taller, 5’’10’, he never scared about to be in the action and no one can scared him. The number 9 which Maurice takes the day where his daughter is born and is weight was 9 pounds. His number was retired on October 6, 1960. Unfortunately, on May 27, 2000, this famous person dies, thousands persons give him a last homage in front of his coffin in Molson Center, the Bell Center today.
